Public Workshop #1: Thursday, April 17, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Town Hall
- The first public workshop for the Ocean Isle Beach Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan was held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Ocean Isle Beach Town Hall. The purpose of this workshop was to gather public input on the current conditions for walking and bicycling in Ocean Isle Beach, and to begin discussing opportunities, challenges, and issues, as defined by the workshop participants. Attendees also provided ideas for new walking and bicycling programs, voted on the types of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure they would like to see in Ocean Isle Beach, and marked up a map with current conditions and ideas for improving the walking and bicycling environment in town.
Public Workshop #2: Tuesday, July 29, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Town Hall
- This workshop featured the draft recommendations for the bicycle and pedestrian plan, and was used to gather input on potential priorities for improvements. See the full plan here.
